Life's Ups and Downs

I always loved roller coasters.

When I was growing up, we lived thirty minutes from Six Flags Over Georgia. Whenever a new roller coaster opened we were among the first to try it out.

My cousin and I went to Six Flags and rode one of the roller coasters 41 times. The last fifteen or so was in the rain. We stopped riding because we got bored.

The last time I rode a roller coaster I got so sick. Nothing came up but I sure thought it would...I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Now I just want this emotional roller coaster ride to be over.

  1. I don't care for most roller coasters. I don't mind the fast turns, but the steep dropoffs don't amuse me at all.
When I was a kid I went on the 'scary' rides, but today, I would not do it.

  4. I love how you compared a roller coaster ride to life. I don't like roller coasters either. I don't like the high drop offs. Make my stomach feel funny. Once I went on one and I held on so tight to my cousin's arm that it was bleeding a little.
I know life can be "fun" at times and sorry if you are having problems right now. Ride it out and it will be over soon. Remember to not carry it all yourself. The Lord and friends are there to help you carry it.

  11. I grew up near a six flags too, magic mountian in California. They had the best coasters and I used to ride everyone too. And now, they totally make me sick too. Sort of like the real life ones as well. I hope yours works out. Thinking good thoughts for you...

    Lots of yummy love,

  14. Very clever comparison. I just prayed for you, Leanne, and I hope peace floods you so that you can "get back on track" to where you will not be moved by your situation.

    Hugs,
    Mary

  18. I've always lived about 45 minutes from Six Flags over Georgia. Do you remember back when they ran the Scream Machine backwards? I LOVED it, it was so awesome! We rode it so many times I couldn't count. Of course, that was many years ago when I could still do things like that! I would never be able to do it today, even if I wasn't sick.

I'm stopping by from SITS. I wanted to say hello and share some comment lo♥e. I'm sorry to hear that you are having some tough times. I haven't read enough to figure out why but I plan to. I will also say a prayer for you.

I just became your newest Follower as I really love to meet new bloggers, especially fellow sister in Christ! I would be really honored if you would stop by and check out my blog, too, if you have a minute.

In the meantime, I hope you and your family have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

    Blessings,

    Teresa <><
